About me

I am passionate about technological and social innovations that have a significant positive impact on peoples’ lives. I believe in the ability of individuals and companies to create positive externalities while pursuing their business and in the potential for sustainable growth.

My work has always had a strong international component and I have spent significant time in emerging markets.  My favorite continent is Latin America – this is where I speak the languages and where I believe strongly in its future potential.

My academic formation covers both science and social science/economics.  I hold a Diploma in Human Biology from the Philipps-University of Marburg and a Master in Public Policy from Harvard Kennedy School.

Furthermore I am an IHK-certified business mediator, specialized on conflict resolution in Venture Capital financed companies.

On the private side I enjoy spending time with my family, an Arabian horse and the mountains near Munich – since 1993 I have been in Munich and I feel very much at home.
